Worth every 25,000 calorie consumed! Basically 2 tours for the price of one--yummy food tour and fascinating NY history tour. I've been on a bunch of food tours around the world and most are just a lot of eating and not much talking (which is fine too). But Cal made the tour so much more enjoyable with his knowledge of the history and his personal stories. Come hungry! Some food tours will still leave you with an empty stomach, not this one! I'm already planning on going back to many of the food stops. Highly, highly recommend!

The guide was helpful and welcoming from the first contact! He definitely knows his way around the city and showed us some really nice hidden gems. He has a passion for what he does and very personable and made us all feel old friends by the end of the tour! Not only was all the food delicious, but it was also fun learning the history as we walked to the next stop. We booked the Chinatown tour for the next day as we really like the Greenwich one. We can't wait to share our fantastic experience with friends and family!

Our guide Cal was so personable and knew a lot about the area's history. Not only did he pick hidden food gems for us to try, but he was also very knowledgeable about the different cultures and origins of the food we sampled. His enthusiasm made each stop feel special, and the private guide service truly allowed for a more intimate experience. Overall, it was one of the best food tours we've ever taken. We highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a memorable culinary adventure.

Highly recommend. Our tour guide was so informative. We went to numerous different spots, learned about the food, the culture, and history. I’ve been to NYC hundreds of times throughout my life - this was my first food tour and it won’t be my last. The food was a mix of NYC staples with off the path interesting eats. It was the perfect balance of all things food. I’m recommending this tour, - heck even New Yorkers who haven’t done this tour could learn and enjoy.

Our guide Cal was amazing—very courteous, educational, and fun. We learned all about the local history and enjoyed personal stories from our guide, who has lived in NYC for 13 years. Every single thing we ate was delicious! Our tour lasted 3 hours, and we sampled 6-7 different dishes at various stops. Being in a smaller group made the experience so much better; it allowed for more interaction and a personalized touch that you just don't get with larger tours. Worth it!

We had a wonderful experience today! He was incredibly well spoken, knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. We tasted an incredible array of foods from falafel to pizza to cupcakes to chicken masala tacos. Not only was the food fantastic our guide shared his passion of NYC’s history and the origins/history of the food we were eating. We have been on larger tours and just felt like cattle, so we really wanted a small group tour. It did not disappoint. Every food we experienced is a reflection of NY and its amazing diversity.

What an amazing experience on this tour with our guide! He was an excellent guide and provided so much history about the city, the neighborhoods of Chinatown and Little Italy. All the food places were all delicious. What a treat to try these new places, even as a New Yorker. We walked through beautiful areas and learned so much. Our guide was very well travelled and had so much to share with food history and NYC anecdotes. We had an amazing time. Definitely recommend!!!!

A great way to get a taste of the best food in NYC! All the items were delicious, and Cal was super knowledgeable giving us so much information and history about New York’s Chinatown and little Italy, as well as just the culture of the city itself. Not to mention other restaurant recommendations after the tour. The walk wasn’t too long or exhausting either, as some tours can be. It was a brilliant experience and super nice to be on a smaller, more personalized tour.

My husband and I had an amazing time with Cal on this tour! He was attentive and personable. You can tell he really cares about his guests. The spots were great and he was a great guide through Chinatown and Little Italy! We had some amazing bites and left very full and entertained. I would definitely recommend this tour for someone coming to NYC looking for a fun and filling activity.

Our guide Cal was by far the best tour guide we’ve ever had and that’s not just food tours. He was professional yet personable. Very knowledgeable and knew how to engage the group while not making it feel like a lecture. The restaurants he chose were delicious and really gave a great example of the variety of cuisines available in NYC. Would highly recommend.
